It’s the extra weight or the extra acceleration or the different tyres. It can’t be the electricity, as you admitted elsewhere.

Put it in eco mode, drive less aggressively, get a lighter car or buy harder tyres, or of you don’t want that, then buy tyres more frequently because you adore the acceleration. (I sure do.) And you’re still saving on pollution and money over a fossil fuel car.

But I don’t go through tyres like you do and I don’t completion about my car letting me zoom to my heart’s content.

It’s possible to drive an EV calmly and enjoy the smooth efficiency, which is another thing I like to do.
