Man arrested in Houston is alleged to have used fake ID to demand $400 from woman who had given him massage
A church employee is under arrest in Houston, Texas, after being accused of posing as an ICE agent to extort money from a woman he had booked to give him a massage.
Donald Doolittle, 58, a safety director at the Gateway Community church in Webster, south-east of Houston, has been charged with impersonating a public servant.
According to police, Doolittle booked and received a massage from a woman operating out of a north-west Houston office building. He wanted to pay with a credit card; the woman said she only accepted cash or payment via Zelle, a digital network.
No chance this was a massage. This was sex work. And this kind of exploitation is why sex work needs to be legalized and the people protected.

Would be great if actual ICE agents were held to the same legal standard as the fake ones.
That’s what you get when there’s “real” ICE goons who refuse to show their faces or badges. Anybody can just waltz into an establishment, shout “ICE!”, empty the cash register and waltz out again. TBH, Mr Doolittle’s strategy seems less ideal.

Is it $400 or $500? Article says both. And what about a charge for theft, why is that not there?
If he had reported her visa to ICE, this probably wouldn’t have become a crime and he’d be part of the team. But he went rogue.
It’s only theft when is is a poor person doing it. Otherwise is an administrative error.
