How could anyone possibly be “stunned” by this? Has this not been extremely obvious from the start?
In fact, I’m pretty sure he ran on using the military against cartels.
And our own citizens. Truely, I see more evidence every day that either most people really are stupid, or the media believes most people are stupid. I’m really hoping it is the latter.
Unfortunately, it might be both.
How can he have war time powers if Congress hasn’t declared war since WWII?
Because after 9/11 Congress passed legislation that allowed the President to do so. In a way Osama bin Laden has the last laugh.
Look at what’s happened after 9/11. It’s pretty much what OBL wanted. America has squandered any goodwill or trust it once had.
Because Congress lets him.
This is why Democrats must win back at least one house of Congress. Currently, the president is doing exactly what Republicans want.
Don’t let them convince you later otherwise. They have all the power and have no excuse.
