Decarbing in the brownies will be inconsistent.

Since the recipe has water, the interior of the brownie won’t exceed 212. The decarb time at that temp is around 2-4 hours.

The edges that dry out first may exceed 300F and the decarb process finishes in around 5-7m then the THC will start to degrade.

For brownies, decarb during the butter production. Look up a chart, but it’ll take about 2-4 hours at boiling. Then cook the brownies on a low temp (like 315) to ensure that it cooks evenly without drying out the corners.

If you have fancy baking equipment, a water bath or collared cake pan will protect the edges from overcooking.

Thanks for the input. I just chuck the plant in the water/oil mix after grinding it in a coffee grinder. I don’t make butter. I am sure there are inconsistencies in my method, but they are very effective every time. What if I did a normal decarb in mason jars prior? What effect do you think that might have?

It’s extremely dependent on temperature. At 110°C it only takes about 30 minutes, at 70°C it takes a full 24 hours.

When I decarbed for tincture I did 225F (107C) for 45 minutes whilst turning every 15. For the brownies I simply grind it up and chuck it in the water/oil mix. It works quite well, but I’d fully admit it is not precise. The brownies cook at 325F (162C) for 1:15hrs. Advice? Always looking to improve.
