I reckon the only way to avoid violence and still fight back is with ruthless mockery. Make people laugh at how ridiculous and infantile everything Trump and his cronies do and say is. Bullies hate being laughed at. Look at how he reacted to Kimmel’s mostly mild mockery.

The most effective non-violent action we can take is to organize a General Strike.

The country would be brought to its knees if suddenly deprived of profit and labor. That tactic was extremely effective in Chile in 2019, and had they not fallen for the trick of liberal reform, they would’ve had a successful revolution on their hands with virtually no bloodshed.

If you aren’t in a union (or even if you are, it’s worth dual-carding), please consider joining the IWW to unionize your workplace (bonus: you’ll get higher wages, better benefits, and more time off if you succeed!) to strengthen a general strike if we manage to enact one, as most unions have a strike fund that can supplement your income during a general strike to make it more financially bearable (you should also save as much money as you can reasonably do, so it can also be used to keep yourself afloat during a strike).

And for our international friends, you should join one as well, as fascism is gaining momentum globally. If your country isn’t listed below, just contact the IWW directly in the link above.

The IWW has 8,000 members? How long has it been around?

The UAW has over 300,000. Or the AFL-CIO with 12,000,000 (I know there is overlap there). How do we get those fuckers to strike?

We really need a general retail strike. There is a Retail workers Union of about 60,000, but over 15 million work in retail. What’s that almost 5% of the population? I’m sure Walmart, Home Depot and Target don’t want us finding out about that union though.

It’s a miracle the IWW survived at all, with the amount of oppression that was aimed at them.

The AFL/CIO is a tame union. Better to wildcat than to rely on those corrupt fuckers.

Millions of protesters in DC and a general strike until there’s some accountability, anything less and they’ll just try it again. The snap benefits are trying to prevent that but might be the trigger needed

Trump really hates it when people remind him of the time his older brother put a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head while he was throwing a tantrum and his entire family laughed at him. It’s a core memory of his, and his first taste of shame and humiliation.

I wonder if that’s why his hair looks like that….

That made me think of Inside Out, which made me think of what Trump’s emotions would look like. This, but with ugly hair instead of sunglasses, I think.

I hadn’t heard that one. That’s hilarious. I’d like to see a reporter show up at one of his press conferences and not ask him any questions, just sit there quietly eating a bowl of mashed potato.
