Man. Driving around without plates is always sure to raise an eyebrow in most people.

I’m starting to wonder if we need something to mark a part of the vehicle to alert people it is definitely ICE. Something like vital to the vehicle so they can’t just remove it. Like a tire. Maybe something you could like quickly toss in front of and behind a tire. Something that will stick in it. Tires are pretty thick so maybe something slightly sharp, but strong. Maybe two pieces of purpose built steel wrapped around each other. Like that “jacks” game with the bouncy ball.

Ah, sorry. I was thinking of IDing purposes.

A wad of bubblegum with 2 or three nails pushed through it in opposing directions? Maybe a crumbled cardboard roll from a toilet paper instead of gum, not sure… something cheap and fast to produce is the answer, with multiple nails to make sure it sticks.

Only problem with nails is that they can simultaneously clog the hole they create, but it’s a start.

I think it depends on the kind of nail. Some nails have groove things that add a little bit of extra resistance to moving back out. Others do not. They also have to be sufficiently large. It’s probably a good idea that they don’t come out right away either. It’d be better for them to get a flat tire on a different street than the one you’re on.

If we could get bulk tubular rivets, but sharp ones, I could see it working quite effectively in place of the nail. It punctures the wheel all the same, but with a hole straight through it for venting purposes. Tire would deflate as fast as the diameter of the hole allows air to escape.

You can probably buy tubular rivets and grind the end to a point. But a ready to go bulk source would be more ideal.

Edit: this would cause enough damage

Use like five or seven nails per ball. Use the putty to fuse the heads together. You can make somewhere between 10-20 units for under $20. That’ll disable a car by destroying its tire.

Edit: probably some good ways to spiderweb a windshield from a distance too. Slingshots can be effective.

Edit: You could also perhaps superglue a magnet to an AirTag and stick it to the vehicle. Cheap tracking of ICE location.

Edit: You know, having a strategy to ID the masked villains would be most effective. There’s a human effect where, if you have to put your identity next to your actions, you’re far less likely to act in evil ways. Just think about how shameless online trolls can be—ICE advantages from that mindset because of their masks.
