When I was looking after elderly gran, my American aunt stated that I probably don’t want to be wasting my life looking after elderly relatives. I thought and replied along the lines of “isn’t looking after relatives one of the main points of life”. But somehow my dad and his siblings having grown up in the States are some of the more selfish got-mine people I’ve ever met.
Today is 6 months since I stopped taking suboxone.
It was absolutely the best decision I’ve made in a very long time and the benefits have been unbelievable.
Not being completely numb has been a bit of a wild ride but things have settled down now ❤️
so many hugs
I don’t like how society ( internet and americans ) have pathologised emotions
emotions are real life

“happiness and feeling good is a right, anything that is a downer or difficult impinges on that right and can be called a pathology”
it was a movement started in the 60s, I am not making it up!
