Southern California TRACON, an approach and departure team out of San Diego, who will talk to the pilots who will be landing and taking off at Burbank Airport.
The airport isn’t closed. Flights haven’t been grounded. But rather phoned out to SoCal approach based in San Diego. But if an incident occurs during this time, I imagine there will be political finger pointing.
The infrastructure across the entire ATC system is crumbling from a half assed NextGen system and paying the lowest bidders to patch up comms.
Won’t be long until shit hits the fan as they try to consolidate and use more of those comms.
