    Interesting. I have a relative working as a paramedic at the Mayo and they put the odds of survival at less than 1% even with immediate medical care

    Did you work in Chicago, or somewhere that would have had a similarly gunshot victim rate at the time? I’ve heard many of the trauma surgeons in those areas are even better than at the Mayo

      Edit: and I certainly didn’t say he was guaranteed to survive, but things like that can be survived. The human body is sometimes amazing in the abuse it can take.
