The article is focused on Europe, the asterisks here are a) diesel is very expensive in Europe, b) most EU countries have big subsidies available for commercial EVs and c) they want/expect a subsidy on electricity used to charge trucks since they’ll be taking diesel trucks off the road. Even without those an EV short or medium haul truck will more than pay for itself well inside of its MACRS lifetime.
Man… I am abit weary of such claims.
Solar panel installers made some wild claims but the math only works sometimes.
I don’t know what it means to truck someone, but I think that man had good reason.
