People ragging on the only viable browser solution we have… Firefox is rock solid, fast, tweakable, and keeps me as safe as any browser and my configs/habits can. I don’t care if management eats babies.
I use it on debian with celenity phoenix and a few about:config tweaks, also tweak’d the theme a bit. Extensions: ublock origin, sponsorblock, localcdn, consent-o-matic, containers, keepassxc-browser, and sometimes jshelter.

The theme I am using is coded using chrome.css, but the proton tab style and border style won’t change.
is it a theme you wrote or one you downloaded? if it’s the latter then it probably just wasn’t updated to reflect those changes. the tab styling isn’t hard-coded either, but it has undergone changes in recent updates and as a result broke some themes.
I downloaded the files so it could just be old. The themes were made in 2021 it seems. I do want to say thank you for trying to help with this. I’m gonna use the link you sent to see if I can figure it out.
