Poolside book success: Icebreaker by Hannah Grace. Requires suspense of belief when it comes to competitive figure skating, but a fun, funny read with a very inclusive ensemble cast without feeling forced. 7 out of 10 for making me laugh so much.

Poolside book fail: All We Lost Was Everything by Sloan Harlow. Terrible “romance”, annoying characters, horrible twists that had my eyes rolling out of my head. 2 out of 10.

I tried normie books once and found I don’t like them. Sometimes they’re an enjoyable read, but mostly they rely on you not knowing how human interactions or the world works to be believable
