Look around. Religions exist. Cults exist. Plenty of people have found great success by starting a religion/cult, whether that means access to power, money, wives, children, etc. If they got what they wanted out of the deal, then I’d be more keen to hone in on greed or selfishness as their most prominent character flaw rather than question their intelligence.

Maybe the answer is just “TMNT was a juggernaut”? The Simpsons was extremely early in its run (mid-season 2) when the game launched. The X-Men cartoon hadn’t even started yet. Asterix is just aggressively European. The games probably all did well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the TMNT titles eclipsed them in earnings.
I don’t think it’s a hardware capability thing, or we wouldn’t have console versions of the TMNT games, either. While the SNES hardware is obviously less capable than the original arcade cab, many consider the SNES port of Turtles in Time to be definitive. There’s no reason Simpsons couldn’t have been similar.

It’s a very weird case. ABC Australia had an article on her hospital stay as it was ongoing which raised some questions without definitively answering them.
While Giuffre had posted about going into kidney failure, ABC reported:
The family of Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser of Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew, says she remains in a “serious condition while receiving medical care” after a bus crash in Western Australia.
But the Perth hospital where she’s staying denies that characterisation, as police maintain the crash was “minor”.
Giuffre was later discharged from hospital after treatment. Reading between the lines, it seems that she wasn’t going into kidney failure when she posted to Instagram about it.
Whether that means she was incorrectly informed that she was dying, or was confused due to sedation, or was suffering from poor mental health, etc. is not reported.
If she has now committed suicide, that would seem to make it more likely that mental health had a role in the initial post about her physical health.
In addition to any ongoing trauma relating to her abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Prince Andrew, Giuffre no doubt had additional strain due to her recent separation from her husband and estrangement from their three teenage children.

I can’t see a way for this to be anything but a Producers situation. Calling it literally anything but Fyre Festival 2 would increase the odds of success, if the event succeeding was ever the plan.
The problem I have with that is that it probably means I’ll end up unknowingly rewarding the clickbaiters/blanking the more thoughtful creators who deserved the view. Somewhere, somebody in the world will think I deliberately clicked on a dumb thumbnail and that’s too great a burden to bear.
The worst is when the painting actually has interesting composition but I have to waste my time looking for a similar work where nobody is making a stupid face, to avoid rewarding artists who paint overly dramatic self-portraits.
