Transfered from Feddit.ch as they closed up shop unfortunately.

StarLabs has one with an N200 but that’s still dated
I used to have a SanDisk Extreme Portable running Ubuntu. If it was unplugged, my computer would boot Windows and when I plugged in the SSD to USB it would auto boot into Ubuntu. I have no idea how I did it though. It was my first time using Linux and I followed a guide online.
Edit: found the video
Maybe so at this point in history. Don’t be surprised when Ford implements it or something similar at a later date. Ads are in most everything now and they have already sold your data to insurance companies.
I will give that a look. Thanks for the tip!
The program itself is an AppImage but I couldn’t figure out how to get Ant+ devices (cycle trainer and heartrate strap) working on a distro besides GC’s documentation for Ubuntu. It worked for me on Mint, I just want to transition to a Plasma DE. Does this look like something you would know how to get working on Kinoite?
You’ve got a good point with using LTS. I’d probably try Neon first though. I have been using Kinoite and enjoy the latest Plasma version and haven’t had any stability issues. I’ll hope that it holds up on an Ubuntu based system but if not then change to Kubuntu.
That sounds like a complicated setup. I’ve heard of OpenSUSE but don’t know anything about it. Is it Ubuntu based?
I think I’ll try Neon too
Ah okay. That makes sense. I have been using Fedora Kinoite on my test laptop and really enjoy Plasma 6 but I need it Ubuntu based so I can use Golden Cheetah with Ant+ devices. GC’s documentation focuses on Ubuntu based systems and I got it working on Linux Mint, my main laptop. I just like Plasma more than Cinnamon and am slowly changing all my systems over.
Thank you!
I was playing Falcon 3 on DOS. 1991
Besides that I played some Bosconian from the arcade, 1981 and 1943: Battle for Midway on the arcade, 1987
Just gotta spread the word. I got two people to switch from Windows to Linux recently. When they heard about an alternative they got very interested and jumped on the opportunity. People want an alternative, but like you say they don’t know one exists, so we need to keep spreading the word of Linux.
PS. They both are enjoying the ad free experience and don’t have any big issues or problems with Linux. Just learning pains
😂
It works! Thanks so much.
For anyone else seeing this in the future with the same problem, the zip was labeled “bosco” for the audio files so I used it with the ROMset called “bosco”. I placed it where @UsuallyLurker said and I no longer get the warning and the audio works great.
Thank you! I’ll try it later!
Thanks for the clarification
That’s a good website to know about but it looks like they don’t sell devices from companies like Miyoo or Anbernic.
You can get generally up to PS3 games working on PC and you’d be owning those games too. Value for money is good and all but owning vs leasing is clear cut and I’ll take owning my stuff everytime, as that is valuable to me.
