  • Nope, because I use it myself. But I don’t use it as a conversational tool though. I just use it as confirmation that I received and read what you sent but it isn’t necessary to continue the conversation. For example, I’m already in a conversation with someone and the assumption is I need them to send me a file. When they finally send it over, I just react with a thumbs up to confirm I got it. Context is important. The emoji is only as meaningful as the context of the conversation it is in.

  • I use navigation a lot even on familiar regular commutes because of chaotic traffic in my city. Having it displayed on a bigger screen than my phone is definitely better and safer. Apple or Google isn’t embedded into the car, the infotainment system just mirrors your phone. Also, since my phone and its apps already have my data, I might as well just have it mirrored instead of also sharing my data with yet another entity (car manufacturer proprietary apps). And yes, I’m not naive and I know there’s already a bunch of tracking embedded into the car itself. Having brand-agnostic tech that works on any vehicle is the better option.

  • Visited an island near my hometown. It’s not much of a tourist spot so there was only one hotel. We stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast the next morning in the hotel. While on the boat on the way back to the mainland, I was feeling a little weird already. I thought I was just getting seasick so I brushed it off. When we got back, that’s where I started puking and shitting alternately for the entire day, had a fever, and wasn’t feeling good for the next 3 days. I don’t even remember what we ate anymore, but that was definitely the worst.
