You should actually watch their videos and do some research before spewing your speculations. Seems like it’s going to be pretty safe to me.

Their tech isn’t just the solar, they’ve optimized the car solely for efficiency. They claim their car can get 10 mi/kwh, so with 700W of solar panels they can get up to 40 miles of charge per day with just the solar. By contrast, the solar panels that are available on the new Prius get 4 miles of charge per day.
Now that their production-intent vehicles are just starting to be built up, I’m eagerly awaiting their actual test data that hopefully verifies their claims on efficiency, range, crash safety, etc. but we’ll see 🤞 I really hope they succeed.
Lots of people here criticizing Aptera who clearly haven’t researched the company or the tech.
We’ve known this for a long time… Almost 4 years actually
Holy shit that’s a real thing
Ohhh ok thanks, well TIL still
TIL Jamiroquai is a white dude band with a white dude as the singer
Wow, 319? Nice 👍
Is… Is the 17 year old kid the one in the middle with the huge beard? I mean, I had a beard when I was 17 but damn that is a grown ass man
Please don’t insult the rats, they’re good little critters
I do spend a lot of time edging.
There was an outstanding RTS game from 1997 called Total Annihilation. The soundtrack was 11/10, it was made by Jeremy Soule, the guy who did the Skyrim soundtrack. Some might say that Supreme Commander 2 is their most recent successor to TA, but they are wrong. Check out Beyond All Reason (BAR). It’s in Alpha and it’s free but it’s already sooooo good.
Way too much latency for that but I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to do it
Well according to Elon FSD is going to be ready “next year” for the last 8 years or so. I wish he would swallow his pride, admit he was wrong, and start using lidar and other types of sensors.
The robot taxi and the bus thing both depend on FSD working well, so maybe they’ll be ready in like 20 or 30 years.
Is the Patagonia guy a billionaire? He seems like a good dude.
I’m detecting your sarcasm but it’s better to just go with ‘/s’ unless you want the downvotes.
Aptera claims to be able to get 40 miles a day via solar. Most people drive less than that per day.
