In the east maybe, its definetly not bad at all in northern germany (Schleswig Holstein).

Here in Germany some McDonalds and Burger King do have self serve drink machines with unlimited drinks, but they are not that many (I would guess 10-20%). Some other fast food chains are more likely to have them, like Subway.
Have you ever tried just pulling it back a little bit before you pee?
Thats what I do when its cold outside and I want to pee, but not on me.
Edge has started doing that too, whenever I download something from my Home Assistant instance while at home I have to rightclick and say that I really want to download it.
As long as such an option is available its not too bad.
Here in Germany you can decide how long you want your rates to be fixed, with the tradeoff being that longer times of fixed rates usually have slightly higher rates (in German its Zinsbindung).
I am lucky and happy that I chose to do 30 years fixed rates, after those 30 years I only have like 2k€ left anyway, so it doesnt matter what rates I get then really.
Then you can just install something else on it?
I get that it sucks when a device is locked, because you might need to install a different OS for a multitude of reasons, but as long as you are able to install whatever you want I dont blame the manufacturer.
You can install whatever you want on a Steam Deck afaik, so I dont get what you are trying to say here.
Huh, I didnt even think about the word sea, as a non native English speaker I didnt think of it. I get the argument that the baltic sea and the Meditarranean are both seas and not oceans, but I looked it up too and, yeah the definitions flow into each other (lol). (Also, greetings from someone who lives a few kilometers away from the baltic sea).
The Meditarranean is also an ocean
Thats why I just leave the dust on top lol.
Paid 55€ for my old used laser printer a few years ago and some toner for 20€, both will last me well over 700 pages, not to mention the time saved by not having to go to a print shop and I can print whenever I want, even on sunday (Germans know what I mean).
If I need to print something in color I could do it at work or at my fathers place, but that didnt even happen yet.
99% of the usage my printer sees is German government bureaucracy, the rest is some other bureaucracy.
At least they dont need color.
Yup, bought an old office mono laser printer (its from OKI) for pretty cheap, I got one that can do duplex scanning and printing with a document feeder because I dont want to scan every page individually.
Put new cheapo toner in it after a bit because it only came with a little bit and with that new cartridge it will probably last at least 10 years with my print frequency.
If I would have bought a new ink printer with those features I would have paid much more (investment and running costs) and I would probably need to unclog it every time I want to print something.
If its a contract with unlimited employment time, like most contracts in Germany are, he cant fire you anyway, at least not without a valid reason, which could include: stealing, not doing your job, always coming late when there are meetings, stuff like that. But you can only properly be fired for that, if you do it multiple times (depending on the severity), you will get written warnings beforehand.
Another reason is mass layoffs, but they have to have a valid reason too, which doesnt include “oops we hired too many people last year”.
So under normal circumstances you will not get fired in Germany, its a different story if you only have a 2 year contract for example, then you might not get a renewal, but a company cannot indefinetly rehire you with a limited contract, they will have to give you an unlimited one, if they want to keep you for longer.
I think that little piece of plastic doesnt really make a huge impact, its not a lot of plastic and we have so many other places where we could guide manufacturers to include less plastic in packaging.
Its much more energy intensive to produce a disposable vape, they contain more plastic, the battery has to be produced and its unlikely they end up in electronics recycling, where they belong.
I cant even max out my 1gbit with steam because they use compression and my CPU just cant decompress fast enough.
1Gbit/s down and around 200mbit/s up (fiber) Costs 40€/ month in northern Germany. And no data limit of course.
Its the same with the paper straws while disposable electronic cigarettes are still allowed, which not only contain plastics, but also electronics and a rechargeable lithium cell.
All the while a reusable vape works just as well, while paper straws just suck and they even contain plastic as well.
The best thing is, if you sort low to high, after the 2nd or 3rd page it just completely breaks and starts showing items randomly.
Yeah, I visited sweden once, where I camped in nature. The cities were meh, but the nature was very nice.
