What do you think Lemmy still lacks and what are you planning to solve it?.
Not anymore.
Is there just one federation?
Censor and banning opinions and ideas you don’t like is anti free speech.
I disagree, free speech means the right to express any opinions and ideas without censorship or restraint even if you find them offensive.
You said you will remove any comment that is transphobic and ban if “you make an egregiously off colour comment”.
That is not free speech, and it’s ok. Your instance, your rules.
Each instance can have their own rules and mods, I have already encountered power tripping mods on lemmy.world, I can choose other instances with the same threads with different mods.
That’s the thing about choosing an instance, it’s his house, his rules. At least with Lemmy it’s like you can move out to the next building, Reddit is like living in jail nowhere left to move.
The good thing about Lemmy you can move to another instance with free speech.
Normies are missing all Telegram has, and that’s not security.
No thanks
You can use it without premium.
How is all Mastodon doing vs X?. I also use Mastodon btw.
You all hate X but many still refuse to use Mastodon.
SmartTube for Android TV, avoid paying YouTube Premium with no ads and SponsorBlock.
You will find this type of people everywhere on social media.
I use Tildes and is this kind of place people circle jerk how smart and insightful they are using comments. One user had this long threaded comments and I just disagree at the end, he was so pissed. Second time it was with a Redditor coming with the same toxic echo chamber bs bringing to Tildes, my conclusion many redditors are toxic users that will spoil anywhere.
Don’t get me started with Hacker News.
Still active on some niche communities that they don’t want to leave Reddit and only using it on desktop.
I disagree free speech also applies to institutions, social or cultural norms and platforms as Lemmy.
