I’m all for standardization but the battery will usually outlast the car. What do you mean Tesla casts their frames around a battery?

because emissions from food production?

I’d also like to add that the manufacturing footprint can (and hopefully will be) reduced. So the difference will grow. Fossil cars will not get more efficient. Also fuck cars.

The non top tier BYD have their blade LFP battery. The LFP chemistry is much safer, you can literally drill a hole into it: video
EDIT: the thumbnail is from the comparison NMC battery

how christian of him

“Childslayer 5000e” would be more fitting

who is copying who now?

The first year is great. Then it becomes the new normal and driving ICEs is only possible with physical discomfort.

i havent heard an ev call a battery something yet. buy maybe thats an upcoming ai feautre.

compared to (ICE) sedans the difference is the shorter engine compartment. The Ioniq5 is also quite wide and high (at least to my standards).
comparison vs toyota camry:

https://www.carsized.com/en/cars/compare/toyota-camry-2024-sedan-vs-hyundai-ioniq-5-2021-suv/
cargo space: 527 l (ioniq) vs 428 l (camry)

the funniest thing is how they then have to pass you as loud as possible and/or above the speed limit to save their ego… morons

because the whole car is a tad small
lol wut?
“Tesla casts their frames around a battery” is a long way from “Tesla cast aluminum frames on model Y are integrated with the battery pack”
But yeah, saving a few % of weight and a few minutes fastcharging time should not make a simple battery repair such as a cell replacement much more difficult.
