Are you bored? Did you just build a strawman version of your own community to argue about something that is trivially easy to answer for everyone in this community? I am seriously confused. I have never ever heard anyone say that you could turn any distro into any other. That is just obviously not true. And every single question on your bullet point list is equally easy to answer.
When people say that it doesn’t matter which distro you use what they obviously mean is that the desktop environment has the way more immediate and tangible impact on the user experience. So as long as the newcomer choses one of the many distros that have an intuitive installer (so obviously not Arch), are reasonably up to date, have a broad software package repository, and come with one of the major environments pre installed, it really does not matter that much.

yeah enough humans don’t know that as well unfortunately. But yeah obviously LLMs don’t understand anything. That’s not how they work

3·7 months agoYou are confusing LLMs with diffusion models. LLMs generate text, not images. They can be used as inputs to diffusion models and are thus usually intertwined but are not responsible for generating the images themselves. I am not completely refuting your point in general. Generative models are capable of generalising to an extend, so it is possible that such a system would be able to generate such images without having seen them. But how anatomically correct that would be is an entirely different question and the way these companies vastly sweep through the internet makes it very possible that these images were part of the training

that is who is usually referred to as tech bros imo. It’s the elon musks, the people that are in charge and seem to have a superficial understanding of the technology (more than what tou can say about most CEOs unfortunately) but are actually only interested in money. The people that actually innovate and work on the technologies are often smarter than that.
Unfortunately someone needs to pay the bills and those people are passionate enough about the technology that they end up working for the tech bros and ultimately contribute to the problems
