  • I’m in and out with linux for the last few years. It really boils down what do you want to do on your PC. If you are into online gaming or you need some specialized software for your work you are pretty much better stay on windows. However for general use its awsome. I have replaced many of my software even on windows to foss tools. There is a small learning curve and you will certainly need the terminal in the beginning but overall not terrible. For me it was a pleasant experience seeing mostly everything works without effort. The two most popular desktops (KDE and Gnome) are fairly polished and you question a lot of things in windows after using them. In general using linux a bit gives you a new perspective on how to use a PC.

  • They track you and then different kind of tools are trying to profile you based on your data. Similarly how ads work on the internet. Saying your car collect data of your sex life more like means they collect absolutely everything about you and then they run it through different software to profile you then sell all this data for extra profit. If you daily drive to a school they will assume you have a family and kids. If you go to a random apartment complex once a week after your kids went sleep they will assume you have a mistress. Its all based on location data and the stuff you enetered during registration.

  • People in your workplace don’t know shit. There are a few who know stuff but the majority is dumb, careless or the combination of the two. Surprisingly the higher you go the more dumb and careless there are. We are designing monster billion dollar construction projects and some of my colleagues have problems with understanding written english. Others cannot learn a software that has literally 3 buttons in them they have to press. I don’t even know sometimes why I am trying.
