I really don’t want it to be true, because it’s just such a boring, stupid little bit of corruption. There’s so much fucking corruption in our whole economy, and for them to seize on that of all things and the message they get out of it is “wow, fuck women huh?” Is just boggling.

I’m entering the part of my life where I’m traditionally supposed to be the most economically advantaged, and this bullshit is going to basically nuke my generation’s ability to participate in the economy, because we were all told that we need to go to college to have a good life.

Also, they’re all looking through him, not at him. Plus, in a real picture, not everyone’s looking at the same thing always. The composition is also nonsense when you think about it. Dude is way off from the truck, by himself, stacking eggs on a table surrounded by a crowd of old people. That is not how aid distribution works.
Also, related to composition, someone once mentioned that AI images always look overcooked because it doesn’t know when or how to stop cramming in more detail, and I find that to be pretty true. It’s really hard- but possible- to get it to make an image that isn’t just over-detailed to death.
One of my win11 machines can’t even open the file explorer. It worked right up until I got an ‘update’, and I’ve been unable to open it since. Got to access all my files through the command line now, which, I mean, I can do, but it’s still a PITA.

One of the most outrageous things I learned was that when the communist Vietnamese government learned of what the Khmer Rouge has been doing, they swept in and deposed them from power over Cambodia. The Carter administration was one of I think like two governments that insisted on recognizing the Khmer Rouge as the legitimate government of Cambodia at the UN after the Vietnamese kicked them out. IIRC, we were fully aware of what had been happening in Cambodia by that point.
Care to elaborate? We weren’t (explicitly, anyway) bombing the Hmong when that fuckhead Kissinger decided to pave Laos. The Hmong were recruited to our side by the CIA. We certainly weren’t bombing them after we pulled out of Vietnam.

I think their regs, while seemingly very basic rules of the road, are based because I live in the US and we have bike lanes here that just whole ass turn into turn lanes with almost no warning. I wish we could get basic decency for everyone on the road, too.
There’s a decent correlation there. There was an article or study out out recently that demonstrated that Republican narratives and pundits overwhelmingly dominate the podcast/streaming space by like a 5:1 ratio, and that a lot of people (for some reason, disproportionately men) who are exposed to podcasts and streaming tend to drift right as they’re exposed to these pundits and narratives.
