I’ve only been to Florida once and I found it strange that everything was covered in lizards. I’m sure people from Florida find it strange that my state is often covered in snow. However, I thought as Americans we at least all supported a minimum level of human rights for all people.

Now I find these southern states strange because they’re willing to throw out centuries of common law because immigrants.

If corporations are considered people in the court of law how are they allowed to own other corporations? Would this not be slavery and in violation of the constitution?

Because at the end of the day the democratic party is still a conservative neo-liberal capitalist party. They aren’t going to side with a bunch of folks against imperialism or capitalism. At best they will argue for not exploiting the middle and lower income people so aggressively and do performative PC stuff.

Probably because there aren’t enough available social workers and psychologists to deprogram the GOP base in any reasonable time frame.

As long as a non zero portion of that middle class are happy in their place because they have an under class to punch down on shit isn’t going to change. We have people blaming immigrants for their problems, one of the least powerful segments of our society. How absolutely brain dead do you have to be to think the folks that can’t vote or hold office are the ones pulling the strings in our semi representative democracy?

I assume that people will just take on more debt.

Plastics need us for survival and reproduction so I doubt they will decide to just up and kill all their hosts. The climate that doesn’t need us for shit.

The MAGA members I know are totally down to send folks off to foreign prisons. They don’t think the laws or bill of rights apply to “illegals.” How do they know the person the federal law enforcement officers have detained is the right “illegal” without going to court? They don’t care.
