Anyone who says they aren’t listening are idiots who know nothing of big tech. They are listening.

Linux@lemmy.ml•How to have path editor in File Picker in any of the file managers ?
1·3 days agoI know man its the worst!! So many little things like this are why Linux devs need a real world person on their team, I feel .
Cue the xkcd comic about minerals and how its crazy to think the average person only knows cobalt etc whatever it is lol. Devs need normies to do testing

bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.workstoHome Improvement@lemmy.world•Does anyone else get paralyzed on fixing small things because they're terrified of it becoming a larger thing? And how do you overcome it?
8·4 days agoYes. Especially with an older house. Touch one thing, you find everything else attached to it is rotted or held together with caulk and a dream.
I really wish i had house skills instead of car and computer skills. Those are useless compared to how important housing/construction is.
Filepaths in explorer.
Pubg and bf1.

Linux@lemmy.ml•How to have path editor in File Picker in any of the file managers ?
5·4 days agoIts so annoying tbh. Ctrl+L works. But not in everything like Firefox. Why can’t we have a better file explorer! I’m honestly wayyy faster with windows file explorer because the filepath is always there.
Something fun about the Lil guys!
I got a 16" Samsung I really enjoy.

1·4 days agoI think if you use a better VM than virtualbox you may be OK, but I wouldn’t risk it. Booting into windows isn’t too bad once a year

1·4 days agoit’s called hakchi - i think you need windows to use it sadly. I wouldn’t risk doing it through a VM (did that once to update a mouse firmware and bricked it)
most of my friends are on 10 and lost at what to do. i’m sure they’ll just go 11 because anything else is scary. I sometimes offer to help but most don’t take me up on it.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is everyone in America just constantly crashing out right now, or acting normal by their standards?
5·5 days agoIn the Midwest, nothing has changed at all.

We all know they’re doing it yet there are 0 laws to stop it. Huh. Time to start axing data centers.
