112·2 months agoThis: Fennec has better security configuration than Firefox about:config settings in regards to telemetry and whatnot.
Mull is also great! Even more secure and better at stopping phoning home, telemetry, and fingerprinting. Though, Mull tends to break quite a few websites. I use Mull, and switch to Fennec selectively when Mull doesn’t work

Depends on what you’re into. It’s kinda like discord, in that it has a lot of servers for specific communities/apps/games, etc.
I used it mostly for pirating cause it was always blazing fast compared to torrenting.
Libera.chat, IRCNet, Undernet, Rizon, EFNet are the biggest networks I can think of off my head. Each has like 5000 to 20000 channels!
IRC will never die! I mean, it probably will eventually. It’s still fairly popular with Linux users, and even stil preinstalled on some distros

Something like this happened to me on my badbrainstorm.ml account.
Had an established account from September, hundreds of post. I was attempting to set up 2FA and suddenly I get a notice about not being on version .18 Now it doesn’t recognize me as a registered user. Could someone help me with 2FA, account recovery?
More than mildly infuriating! Was probably 30ish pre COVID. And constant supply issues. Have to run all over to find locally. And I’m in LA. Shouldn’t be hard to keep one of the worlds largest economies in supply, right?
Join the darkside, and run something like a Raspberry Pi with Kodi, and/or Plex, etc.
