Palmer was clear that nobody should stop psychiatric medications without careful supervision. While one of the patients in his study worked with her doctor to safely taper off her psychiatric medications, the other decided to stop all of them suddenly on her own.
“Let me be clear, that was an unmitigated catastrophe for her. She became severely psychotic. She was hospitalized for over two months,” Palmer said. That patient continued her diet throughout her hospitalization, and had to go back on medication before tapering off safely.
if you read through the lines it’s two supervised cases and only fully supervised case to be clear. Despite the keto diet the second patient was, in fact, psychotic, until the medication was reintroduced.

I agree 100%, but a thought occurred to me…would these help lead to more arrest if assaults were captured on the cameras. It sucks that such an existential threat to privacy could do real good. Forces some moral and ethical issues that techno feudalism is forcing on us, and we aren’t making the choice.
you should be reading more cyberpunk / scifi literature. There is literally the case for human action and freedom within the machine. And assuming that AI cameras are also the freuquent next step in police states. Do you really want this? Are you allowed to have ambitions outside the machine?
I am not aware of this, I just know that it’s the most potentially deadly fantasy sport out there. The mayan ball game had less casualità
By far, the most popular of all Mayan sports was the Mayan ball game which was played in the Mesoamerican religion from about 1,400 BC. The game had various variations over different places and rules also varied to some extent. The common form of this game consisted of players striking the ball with their hips. In some other variations, they were also allowed the use of forearms, rackets, or bats. Solid rubber was the material of the ball and it had a weight of about 4 kg. A lot of these ball games were accompanied with grand events which sometimes even included the ritual of human sacrifice. Heavy betting was also involved in the game but it was also played as a simple recreation game by children and even women. https://mayansandtikal.com/mayan-games/mayan-sports/

I would like to have a complementary or firm answer to this, but i recall really well the counter-activism that culminated with personalities like Jordan perterson and the ‘meatfluencers’. I don’t have a clear answer to these issues. Many things are getting expensive too, including meat.
I struggle to imagine a world where magic and religion cohexist. I am normally used to high fantasy where the worldbuilding makes sense, but harry potter just flows like she thought of what could come next, and that’s it. Worldbuilding Babe, that’s how we add lore. Make stuff up.

Because i don’t want to deal in extremes any longer. We milked that vegan teacher for content long enough, we should know better now. Most vegans are not the vegan teacher, as a matter of fact

You know, i used to have more heated discussions about this, but now i feel like I matured a different view on this, at all. I conceive the freedom to chose on a personal ethical base above the idea of punching down ideas just because. Ideally, being vegan is just that, being vegan. You can be whatever… It’s not mandatory to be either.
I eventually found out that any amount of rage or hate for that was only projection of my special insecurities.
I confirm i have one, well two, but i can’t tell exactly. The annoying ones are usually long. Also you better not start thinking about these little things because it’s like virus.
No really don’t even start to think about it.

I must mention, the ps2 / pc game that came with this movie was very liminal and surreal, especially the house level at night.
This is the best screenshot i found. It doesn’t feel like a real house, but a set. I can’t explain, i think you might have to play this youself.

• from over the hedge

I used a mavis beacon like program on my computer for english, really basic stuff but the little thing came in a cd-rom included in my school textbook, and the program covers everything up to b1 levels, and it’s seriously impressive for how small it is. By far the worst software for that type of stuff is the kind of gamified environment we have today. Edutaiment was a trend between the late 90’s and the 2000’s. Gamification is the evil twin of edutainment.

Ideally they should allow and use both, physical media and notes and digital access to all media. And allow self management. That way they will learn the limits.
But currently they are just forcing digital interfaces on students who did not fully develop yet. Ironicaly, for how much tech they must use, the use of a computer is still sub optimal. Typing skills, for instance, are better trained on a word document with a spell check active. One of the many instances where old tech is still perfectly fit.

I studied things without technology. I take notes on pen and paper, and i hate having to do online tests too. I like my printed documents and physical books. Many students will say the same, and i also tend to dislike the trend to digitise every and each aspect of learning. The truth out there is that analog classrooms work better than this chromebook hellhole, but many of you are not ready to hear that. Technology is also the problem.

Like the stupid duolingo pro and the pro max thing…and the pro max is just an extra fee to talk to an AI.
Either way. I wouldn’t discard that artwork. It’s too good for what it is.
