Thanks for the reply ☺️
I will still check it out as this does look pretty neat to selfhost.

How would this software work for someone who simply wants to store specific locations for future visits?
Im into urban exploring and am looking for a selfhosted map solution where i can save certain spots and add notes/pictures to that location. So im less into storing the specific GPS track/timeline, although that is always a plus.

Surely this can still removed with ADB?

Will do during this weekend when i get the time ☺️

Ah yes got it now thanks 🤟

Downloaded and works really nice! Thanks so much flr taking on this fork 🤟
I have found one bug (can open an issue if you prefer), where when on the Home screen, at the bottom i can ‘reorganize’ my layout, however im not able to make “Playlists” category appear at all.

Edit: I downloaded app from Izzy.

Yeah agreed, Feishin is more feature rich and promising, plus as you say active in development.

No it does not, however there is a Feature Request/Discussion for it; https://github.com/victoralvesf/aonsoku/issues/114.

Ur welcome! AFAIK no i dont think it can do that atm. If I were you I’d host multiple instances and maybe throw different themes at each instance to tell the difference more easily maybe :)

Wow now i feel silly 😅 Never realised the shield icon led to the admin panel (didnt know there even was an admin panel heh?) This has just leveled up my experience!

Been happily using this for the past month or so! I’m positive to the name change too, Jotty is better 💜 I only have one small request (ill open an issue on it if you want); Basically I think it would be nice if the top left logo could be editable, as in let the user choose what is written there. Keep the logo ofc. Personally wish it could say just “jotty” and not “jotty.page”.
Keep up the great work!

Jup 😢
Oh damn i did not even know about this! I will defo have a play around with this tomorrow, how very neat!
However, it isnt me im really worried about in the grand picture, its family and friends. It was already difficult enough to convert them to using Signal.
For me it was not possible to send or receive messages for a couple of hours.
I hate how Signal went down because of this… Wish it wasn’t so centralised.

Since you mentioned Plex, HAVE YOU HEARD OF JELLYFIN?

Proprietary doesn’t necessarily have to be bad, obviously this will vary from person to person and who you ask. Personally Ive listened to enough podcasts with Unraid folks in them and read articles etc to be able base my trust in them and what they do.
Nice thanks for sharing! How much more battery preserving have you found molly to be? Signal is also on the top of my list in terms of most battery-draining apps, so a migration to Molly sounds nice (also on GOS).
Also, nice blog! Subscribed via rss ☺️
I have finally taken the time to get rid of tailscale today, while i love the software, the people building it and how magically easy they have made networking - there have been too many hiccups that have made me want to switch away. Such as, terrible battery optimization on Android phones(up to 20-30% battery drainage a day) no idea how this is an issue as normal Wireguard barely drains 1-3% a day.
Now running a Wireguard server off my brand-spanking new UDR7 (what a dream this machine is to use). Got that set up with DDNS and a custom domain. I’m extra happy i managed to find a good way around not having to use Cloudflare as that feels like selling my soul to the devil. So shoutout to DynV6 for being a really great service, free, simple and allowing custom domains.
Ive combined that with Caddy on my server, so now im able to get https://sub.domain.com/ on my local network aswell as over wireguard remotely! Next weekend will be dedicated to learning Pangolin 🤟
Thanks for the input!
