111·5 days agoAs a man I also want to select a female driver only. Seriously here in the Netherlands if you get a male driver good chance it’s some agro 20 year old high on NOx who also hates queers. I’m not even queer but I don’t want my money going to cunts like that.

2·5 days agoWait for how long? HDMI devices need to handshake with the TV so there is always a delay unfortunately. It’s not just a good ol’ video signal anymore.

Technology@lemmy.world•Apple introduces Macbook Neo - cheaper Macbooks starting at $599English
2·12 days agoWhat something should be priced at is what the market is willing to pay for it. People are definitely willing to pay more for a MacBook than an iPad. Also there are similar spec’ed Chromebooks on the market that cost around the same price and people buy them. The Neo is competing with Chromebook.

6·12 days agoThis thing can run iPad apps right? So at least that is an option when the desktop version is shite. This laptop is aimed at college and high school kids who just need a browser and take notes. It’s probably fine for that. I mean I’m using an iPhone 14 for the last 4 years and it works just fine. It’s a Chromebook alternative it’s not for power users.
Just look at how many crappy Chromebooks get sold to schools. The Neo is the perfect replacement for that market.

And the Blender foundation gets yearly donations from tech giants like Epic, NVidia, Unity, Google and even car makers like BMW and Volkswagen. Even Adobe, their competitor, sponsors them.
It’s still a not-for-profit same with Mozilla. Doesn’t matter who funds them or how much they get in funding.

41·16 days agoCause some people are psychos. Like I understand if a poor kid has no other means to get out of their situation and thus joins the army. But there are many middle class families with several generations of high ranking service members. These people are just straight up psycho, they have all the inside knowledge of what the military actually does and they still force their kids to join the military academy.

Business casual is a dress shirt and chinos/dress pants, loafers and sometimes a blazer/sports coat. Basically the omission of the tie and the fancy dress shoes makes it business casual. A polo and chinos is only business casual in a big box store or the tech industry. Anywhere else it’s just casual.
Yeah it needs to create the different files for each resolution. But also the bitrate of the original file is probably too high for YouTube’s liking anyway so they re-encode it.
YouTube uses ffmpeg to convert the video, even if you don’t edit the video.
lol imagine the ghosts of the people who died during a Shibari session.

LOL and of course you are a German. Nazi supporting Nazi i guess. Y’all love to be on the wrong side of history again.
