Need to probably go back to the original stand. Previously the monitor was on a standing desk stand and I needed to print a stand so they mic was actually under it

The mic doesn’t look too bad. Pardon the mess behind it, just built a new desk and haven’t arranged the wires or taken down the junk behind it.

Or even just design it better. My Logitech snowball has a massively bright led that sticks out. It’s about 1mm by 2mm and sticks out about .5mm. Whatever happened to a pinhole? It would serve the same visual notification but not be blinding

I bought a snowball microphone. It has the brightest goddamned red led on the front. It juts out like some rectangular boil and it’s annoying as it is ugly.

So I had to cut off some black electric tape to cover it. The light is ALWAYS on. Maybe it’s to let you know it could be recording, but since it’s always on no matter what I’m doing, being always off is the same thing.

As I get older, I enjoy it more. It’s a reminder that I’m not as old a bastard as I feel some days, and I know the benefits are real, noticeable, and literally life changing. And at that moment I’m the youngest I’ll ever be for the rest of my life, so it’s a good time to do it.

Maybe I don’t love the specific moment that my muscles are on fire but perspective keeps me happy while doing it
