The best example probably being atomic models and how rapidly they developed in the early 20th century. If people had cared to push the Democratic party to deliver, rather than being the other right wing economic choice for the tech billionaires, the Reps being for the oil billionaires (although the tech billionaires seem to have grown much more fascist these years) they could actually bring proper policy. Israel targets all angles of media. Have a look at reddit and you’ll easily find many pro-Israel bots. I remember once two different bots posting letter by letter the same comment in the same thread, some 8 hours apart. And that was ten years ago.

It is important to note though that it is not just Israel doing that. Any larger power has some sort of programs to influence public opinion and spread propaganda. Just that some get called out, like Russian bots.
