E is for Enshitification

Unfortunately they use a stupid amount of electricity and cost a lot to run. Source: installed 2 Mitsubishi heat pumps last year in northern Maine. Electricity delivery rates are insanely high here.

Damn. I got all excited reading the description for We’re All Gonna Die, think it was an indie game!
The way of life they are imagining has never actually existed, and has nothing traditionally “American” about it. Back when that word wasn’t an international slur.

In the NY Post linked article:
Per KFF, the late Tennant was insured by the Public Employees Insurance Agency of West Virginia, which partners with UnitedHealthcare. (The Post reached out to both agencies for comment.)

The very beginning the article:
It didn’t matter that Eric Tennant’s oncologist had recommended the medication to shrink his tumors.
The patient’s health insurance allegedly stood in the way — until it was too late.

So that’s actually interesting though. I’m not necessarily condoning this behavior. But if they have identified that unscrupulous, fraudulent outside parties are potentially manipulating the reviews, and that is what’s causing Amazon to block the reviews, then that might actually be a beneficial move on their part. It’s Amazon, so I’m inclined to think they are the ones behaving badly, but this is at least a possibility.
Truth. Do NOT come at swans with aggression. Or at all, really. Avoid them. They will fuck you up.

What are…what are we doing here, people? We’re well below the lowest bar here, Congress. How can you keep on defending literal batshit insanity? Are we waiting for the joke about him eating a baby on camera to come true? How do y’all republicans live with yourselves?

Yes, we cannot eliminate currency at this stage of the game. But we can have democratic socialism, and universal basic income, and Medicare for all, and still have money, including more money for people who choose to work for it.

What term would you use instead of “funding”? Even if we ditch capitalism, as we should, doctors et al still need to get paid, and hospitals still need money to operate (assuming we got rid of any for-profit healthcare). We wouldn’t be doing this with a barter system, right?

Are you advocating for not treating the sick whatsoever, or are you assuming total governmental funding for treating the sick?

Or would even know? Or would remember that it happened?
It’s very important for these internet people to be recognized as right by a group of anonymous strangers. Failing that, they very much need to make those strangers feel bad in the process.
