Why is this image so fucking ugly??? Were the hundreds of billions of funding really not enough to employ one (1) good web or graphic designer?

2·5 months agoYou can use the stock Google Pixel camera app without Play Services or internet access, it will produce the same photos. Tje only thing that won’t work is the small image preview at the bottom left with the last image you took, clicking on it will just tell you that Google Photos is not installed.
The GrapheneOS camera app is probably the best FOSS (sleek/minimal) camera app I’ve ever used, image quality isn’t quite at stock Pixel level, but still pretty good, actually.

We are not the same
Actually, I’d argue the soft size is also important, but smaller is actually better for storage…

3·6 months agoFor your personal use, you probably shouldn’t get an “AI” GPU. If you start needing a terrabyte of VRAM and heat, space, and energy start getting real problems, reconsider. Even if you need more VRAM than the best gaming GPU (i.e. 5090…), it will be cheaper to get multiple gaming GPUs and use them as a cluster (you will take a performance hit though).

Know the struggle, just keep trying local stores or other sites first, maybe we can be a small part of change for the better ;)
This however he definitely said, can confirm (I was the balls)
I couldn’t find that quote anywhere, and it’s very unlikely that Cicero said it, or something like that.
Iirc Tacitus said something similar, roughly: “the higher the number of laws the more corrupt an empire is”.
The statement wouldn’t have made sense from Cicero as that wasn’t really a position he would have held, or even a position he found himself in at all in his defence of the republic (because this wasn’t really a problem at the time, or at least not the biggest one)
From their blog:
As you probably know, Session is decentralised. There are currently over 2,000 servers around the world working together to deliver your messages. Each one of these servers is an Oxen Service Node, and together they make up the Oxen Service Node Network. These are specialised servers that stake OXEN cryptocurrency to register on the network; and nodes receive OXEN rewards for performing particular services like routing Session messages.
(They are now switching from OXEN/the Oxen network to their own to be able to better control the features of their hosting network)
Why do you think so? We still don’t have proper support for the Fairphone 4 on pmOS, why’d the 6 be any better?

This is so fucking annoying. Whenever you try to run something not clearly meant for the desktop, there is like a 80/20 chance that you can completely forget suspend…
