An alarming majority (at least in the US) are ignorant of this conflict at all. The money is so distorted in the IT industry that it’s tantamount to theft. The skeletons in Congress don’t have a single clue.

Xorg will finally be put to rest at least. The wayland compositor is still a huge, monumental development, the excuses for using proprietary OSs will thin out.

I can’t wait for the day when Windows 12 releases and we get to bully windows users even harder.

Another thing is that proprietary social media sites like Reddit and Twitter always follow the will of their (ruling class/parasitic) masters.

The control freaks at the very top are capitalists and thus their ideology is the dominant and unquestioned/unchallenged one.

The fediverse is the antithesis of this model, so that’s why ideologies other than status quo capitalism take root and thrive.

I had this dream like 2 weeks ago where I was back in high school in my senior English class. No crazy details, just a day from the past.

But there’s also people who are just gross and take it to heart (to the point of sexual harassment). It doesn’t really matter if you’re the titled “gay friend” as long as the friend group is for queer liberation (no TERFs) and it’s not some weird chaser mentality where the intrigue is objectifying queer men’s bodies and sexuality.

GNU Jami (pronounced Guh-nu Ya-mi) is a peer-to-peer cross-platform messaging and VOIP application. It uses an API called the Jami Distributed Network, meaning that the Jami network has no single point of failure. If you’re familiar with TOR you’ll understand where this is coming from.

Best part is that Jami is a GNU package; it will always be free/libre software or else Richard M. Stallman perself will break the kneecaps of every developer on the project /half-joke.
