They seem to not mind being sued. For them it’s just a fee that they calculate into their expenses
This is so weird to read as a European… Tips here are almost frowned upon

As if he’d stop doing anything illegal when he knows that it has no consequences
Ah yeah the yaris is very popular here! We have one at work and it drives pretty well! It’s a hybrid though so a bit larger that the original models

Hm… Got to wait with reading this

The list of partners who get my info is just short of 200, including, for some reason, Netflix, booking.com and LinkedIn 🤷♂️

I love in Denmark and hydro is not very wide spread. Wind power is though.
The reason why EVs are popular though is because gas prices are exceptionally high, partly because of extreme fees and because EVs are taxed a lot milder. So in a way it is a political decision by the country
Now I am curious. What car don’t have?
We gave a Suzuki Splash. It is still a small car but not even close to the smallest ones I often see around here.
Sure its not as comfortable, especially on long drives on the motorway (speed limit 80m/h) but the benefits counter that by quite a lot!
Very interesting. I didn’t know this
We need two cars. One of them is annolder microcar (Suzuki Splash) and it does fine on our roads with 80 mph speed limits
Cars here are taxed every half year depending on how economic they are. The more they use the more they cost
Personally I have 5 miles to the closest grocery store and 11 miles to work.
Its not crazy long, but long enough to need a car because there are no busses or trains and cycling or scooters isn’t always safe in the weather that we get here.
My confusion though is, why cars over there use so much more gas when, as you say, people need them. I’d assume that smaller more economical cars would be more popular in a country where distances are long
Further more, I think that the issue about not affording food, comes down to wages and not gas prices
Same here
The money I would save on fuel would be the same that I’d have to pay to pay off a new small EV.
My only concern is that I’d have to buy a larger car than that, to be able to drive the distances that I some times do in my diesel car.
But I’m almost willing to have to charge more often, than spend money on a more expensive one
Almost $12 pr gallon here, but that’s in Europe too (I assume you are too?)
My calculations may be wrong but here in northern Europe we pay double that

That won’t delete your account. They will still use data to track you and promote content in other platforms
You want them to delete anything and all. That requires a lot of effort and trust

Regulations won’t help.
It took me 18 months to have my data at meta deleted through local data authorities and when I later complained to a series if local politicians who gave been involved in establishing relevant regulations, they told me that they have had similar experiences and are aware.
About time people in the us pay what the rest of us have for decades

It’s a marketing scam.
They will soon launch AI plans with security upgrades, just to charge more than they do now
Why dont they use feet? 😉
