Why do you think they named the movie and holiday “Groundhog Day”? From the rodents waking up from a months long coma? That’d be silly. It has always been about time loop.

Technology@lemmy.world•Danish Students Face Legal Action and Fines Over Textbook PiracyEnglish
4·5 days agoI’ve never actually heard of anyone in Denmark getting in trouble for downloading stuff. Sure, some get in trouble by selling it, but supporting piracy just to turn around and selling pirated stuff is fucking hypocritcal anyway.

2·5 days agoI had a professor who wrote the book. The worst part is, it was a book guiding you through the use of Autodesk Revit. A software that has PLENTY of ressources online to learn without having to pay anything, let alone €100. I opened those books twice, and googled everything else.
My issue with this, is why didn’t all those child labourers 50-100 years ago regress to childhood then? So incredibly many children forced into becoming an adult and working from a very young age, but they didn’t start inviting kids into their beds just to have a sleepover.

And to add. The files are already public, and fuckall is happening, because it turns out, the people who are supposed to do something, are also in the files.

1·8 days agoIn that case people are shit at explaining it. I tried googling it back then, and all I could get was dumb answers that didn’t actually give an answer to the questions.

12·8 days agoI tried Mint about a year ago, and one of the things I really didn’t like was having to get my software from some appstore. It seemed very limited. I’d much rather just be able to download an executable and install it that way. Feels like I have more control over what I can actually use my pc for.
Oh look a Snot Flickerman over here with pretty enough feet to not send bumhole pics! Do you think your gorgeous feet make you better than the rest of us huh?!?

3·9 days agoI’m curious what made US companies that much more successful at destroying unions than the companies in my home, Denmark. It’s not like companies weren’t trying their hardest to fight unions in the early 1900’s. People died at the strikes and protests.

Not trying to completely throw away your comment here, but I saw this exact same comment repeated ad nauseum about electric cars 15 years ago.

I generally don’t really like rap, but mumble rap just sounds lazy as shit. Like “I can’t even be bothered to open my mouth”. It’s also so stupidly monotone. I may just be an old man yelling at kids, but that’s music I will never understand.
