the restaurant was not in a ticketed park, it was in Disney Springs which is a freely accessible public area
Yeah you’ll need an account. Once you have an account the easiest way to edit is to click the pencil icon at the top right of the file in the website. You can edit in the web browser and then submit a pull request from there automatically.
anyone can update the list and make a pull request https://github.com/LemmyNet/joinlemmy-site/blob/main/src/shared/components/app-definitions.ts#L459
Recompilations and reverse engineered games are actually not emulation, they’re ports. But yeah they’re amazing and almost always the best way to play a game when available. See !source_ports@lemmy.sdf.org and !opensourcegames@lemmy.ml
Sure. You can fix frame rate drops, play with any controller you want, easier to play with mods, save states, speedup when replaying a game, easier to record video or stream. If you’re playing a 3d game you can run in higher resolution with better anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering. For a 2d game sometimes one of the upscaling filters will look good. You can use CRT filter if you want and you don’t have a CRT TV. You could do it on Steam Deck and cloud sync your saves with your PC, and even your phone (especially for turn based games)
someone could make a pull request to add this

Am I gonna be the first one to say Mario 64?? Really?
Mario 64
Gauntlet Legends is so good, I might’ve played it on Dreamcast more but both versions are good
Halo 1 was on Xbox before PC https://www.igdb.com/games/halo-combat-evolved#releases
Xbox in 2001, PC in 2003
and the Xbox version did have split screen
What if you have a 3dfx Voodoo? I remember that game supported Glide rendering. I guess you could emulate Glide, or emulate the Dreamcast version
The Summit app can to this
Semi off topic, but isn’t the subscriber count badge useless now since Lemmy fixed their reporting of that?
A post will federate to every instance that has at least 1 subscriber of that community. If you want to get your communities federating to other instances and get them more popular, use this tool
something that didn’t get mentioned but I think is nice, the Chat view has been fixed!

I believe it was fixed here https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/pull/2480
it even allows sorting in either direction, you can do Chat view with New or Old sort!
ReVamped is such an obviously good name lol
Mario World probably was a bit too easy, but I think SM64 difficulty was good especially if you wanted to get all 120 stars
I think most retro games were hard enough as it is, considering limited disc/cartridge space and because you were generally expected to spend more time with a single game back then. But I agree with the people here saying Pokemon lol, romhacks are better.
my favorite was Where In Space, great music too
