If you would like for your own posts to be reachable by the search system, all you have to do is go to Preferences > Public Profile > Privacy and Reach. Once there, check the box that says Include Public Posts in Search Engines.

I’m happy that this is opt-in for users, though something that would be good to know is how users on other instances (as well as platforms like Lemmy, Kbin, Misskey, etc.) are handled. I guess the search system would not handle these users?

Dark Reader is just too heavy for what it does. I use https://github.com/m-khvoinitsky/dark-background-light-text-extension and it does all that I need.

Yeah I would imagine there are people that do. I don’t think there’s anything wrong posting it here too though - it’s not like we have finite space.

There are people that like to keep up with minor version releases like this.

Firefox has its own syncing system via a Firefox account that’ll sync your bookmarks, open tabs, history, logins, etc…

Firefox on desktop does support multiple profiles, but they are nowhere near as convenient as Chrome’s which is just a few clicks.

In the meantime, https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmyBB exists.

I’ve never used the official reddit app so I can’t say how they’ve changed over time in there, but on old reddit, they used to be (or still are?) similar to other posts and appeared at the very top of the page. At least that way they were unobtrusive and you didn’t get a giant image unless you clicked on it.
