If they’re at all like cavies aka guinea pigs they are happy playing. The behavior is called popcorning in cavies.
In pole dancing terms that’s the gluteal crease or gluteal fold.
Medically the gluteal fold is the buttcrack.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK there's a tool to check US non-profit compensation
4·2 years agoYo, compensation doesn’t matter.
Outcome per dollar matters.
Hiring people at starvation wages may work, or hiring more expensive cream of the crop may work. What I care about when I’m donating is “did my dollars accomplish what I wanted?” And “could my dollars have done more for the cause elsewhere?”
If people are making the world better and have nice office furniture I don’t really begrudge them that.

1·2 years agoI think it’s more cause of all the news coverage about underage kids working in meat packing plants lately.
Idk if there is a similar problem in other parts of agriculture, wouldn’t surprise me.

31·2 years agoFair point, agribusiness is harmful in many ways.
That doesn’t mean that someone can’t say “X is More harmful than Y”
I imagine they could point to the many similar environmental harms and modifications down for meat farming

News@lemmy.world•Citing recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling, Gov. Gavin Newsom orders state agencies to clear homeless camps and encourages cities to do so
53·2 years agoI agree this is likely to cause suffering cause relocating sucks, and there probably isn’t shelter space for these people.
He has a valid point that the camps have a lot of negative impacts. I’ve seen fires started,l in my city, heard horror stories about the conditions that develop.
That said, I don’t know how much better the alternative is.
About housing, I mean, it takes more than a few years to build the tens of thousands of houses needed, and every year the state assembly is doing more to help with building more dwellings and preventing local govt and orgs from blocking construction. I’m not thrilled about response but it seems like they’re doing a lot to help with infill development. I’m not an expert, so feel free to correct me.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Men, are you physically affectionate with other male friends? (eg, hugging, snuggling, playful wrestling, etc). If you aren't, do you wish it was more socially acceptable if it isn't in your culture?
3·2 years agoSorta. I’m a comfortable person expressing affection and my inner emotions with friends. I’m also often the one initiating the sharing asking how they are etc, and the physical touch. It’s nearly always me initiating, so I’m kinda uncertain how it is in the other person’s head. Obv not bad enough to recoil or ask me to stop, but maybe they’re just a bit uncomfortable.
Yes. I want it more. I look at relationships among women where that level of physical affection is part of the connection and reinforces it and I want that. I only really have that with my wife and one close friend, who is a woman.

News@lemmy.world•The fast-food industry claims the California minimum wage law is costing jobs. Its numbers are fake
71·2 years agoAs I recall prices have been going up for a long time. Nationally I believe all fast food chains have increased prices way beyond the rate of inflation for the past 12 years.

This only seems to apply to the state legistature, is this also applied to local government?
