Yeah in the same remixing a song is considered original
Fan of Linux, modifying firmwares, and open source software. Mostly here to kill time and contribute to Lemmy’s growth.
If you want to play a game together over XLinkKai shoot me a message. I have an original Xbox, PS2, and a PS3 I can use.

Do you feel like you ever got over the initial setup period? A lot of what you are describing is what I encounter after a fresh install but I don’t typically have any issues after a little bit of tweaking.
What laptop is it?
Have you checked out this page?
Is Railway Hosting what people are using for hosting Lemmy instances?
I don’t do much. Most of them are friends from when I was a kid but in a weird way I worry they would judge me in a disappointed kind of way with how my life is going.
Most of them have kids, spouses, or careers at this point so I don’t know if they would be willing or able to make the time
What gets me is people who park partially in the sidewalk
It’s still $400 to buy Sims 3 as well despite the game being over ten years old.
Hotline Miami 2. I’ve beat it on several platforms but I really don’t think it’s as good as the original.
Fallout 3. Mostly due to the mountain of technical issues it has on PC but even playing on console you can run into stability issues.
Probably Raddle.me. it seems like a somewhat privacy focused version of Reddit that has their terms of service has a section against bigotry and far right ideology.
Unfortunately there isn’t a mobile app though.
I’m surprised how few options there are out there. I tried looking using the keywords “hub”," “dock”, and even " duplicator" but couldn’t find anything. Hopefully you don’t need to resort to getting a USB hub then just using USB adapters
Same. Big fan of their net installer
From my understanding it’s for preventing unwanted sounds similar to a pop filter
Yeah. I mean I’m not aware of many Eastern sources (unless you consider Al Jazeera) so I definitely wouldn’t be able to tell political biasses and I’m never going to trust Twitter or Reddit.
BBC also appears to be more neutral than other sources like Vice or Fox News
More times than I can recollect
Parents feeding their baby cola in bottles and smoking while pregnant are two things that usually cause me to make assumptions
I feel like it’s the occasional unpredictability that people are scared of. Whether it’s people being unable to tell if something was created by ChatGPT, if it’s pulling false sources, or people finding ways around set limitations and filters.
Wasn’t /u/AwkwardTheTurtle kind of exploitative herself?
Thanks for the response. I was more referring to that specific example. The article talked about Microsoft dealing with word processors and linked that Wikipedia page.
I really think it comes down to the individual. I personally think that Aldous Huxley’s book Brave New World was likely derived at least partially from the book We by Russian author Yevgeny Zamyatin but both Aldous Huxley and my 10th grade English teacher would disagree. I don’t think it’s wrong to take someone else’s work and add upon it in a way you view beneficial. I view it as a natural evolution if anything and if it gives someone something to enjoy or makes the creative processes a little easier I’m all for it.
