It’s been a few years but I remember some unofficial patches that improved the game for modern times.
I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m here now…

Actually looks like a nice bit of kit but not for £20.
Biggest for me would be going online with the Dreamcast. At home I was online with the DC before we had a PC so used it quite a lot.
I probably spent to much time on Dreamarena chat rooms and playing PSO with randoms.
Thanks for this.
Too soon…
What makes me happy though is the Dreamcast is still going strong today with fan translations, indie games (and more) and online play.
Sega was their own worst enemy
Arguably they still are today. Can’t stop being a fan though!
It seems that most, if not all, are what we had here in the UK.
Buying on eBay is fine. I’ve had some issues but it normally just takes a few days to resolve and I’m never worse off.
Selling on the other hand…
I never owned a G-Con and only had a knock-off.of some kind. Spent a lot of time on Point Blank, Die Hard 2 (trilogy) and Time Crisis.
Swapped my copy of Power Stone 2 for Soul Calibur with a friend of a friend and what was supposed to be a week or so became forever…
I also let a mate borrow MSR on the Dreamcast and when I went over again I found the disc being used as a coaster to someone’s coffee…
I used to collect a lot more in the last 20 so years but sold anything not Dreamcast related. That was mostly because of space saving though.
I did manage to get a clone GDEMU before they were in high demand but playing roms loses the nostalgic charm that having something physical has.
I don’t have a hard cut-off but I also haven’t bought a physical game in some years now because of the price increases. I would love to continue my Dreamcast collection but it’s not worth the risk spending so much anymore.
No not really but it’s all subjective anyway.
I remember RAGE we good the first time I played but I really struggled with it last year when I tried it again. Also John Goodman voiced a character at the beginning and then buggers off never to be seen again…
There are so many reasons why it failed but we all love it so.
There were some bizarre ads from around the late 90s to early 00s.
The Dreamcast Barber comes to mind.
Some good nostalgia and my god they wouldn’t dare see the light of day anymore.
I often used the original Playstation and then my Dreamcast for CDs but not in a long long time.
Spending hours online either on Phantasy Star Online or in the Dreamarena chat rooms.
Getting Shenmue and Shenmue II on launch days was a special time.
