I feel bad for the anti-Trumpers out there… but most of the communities that are crying as they’re also worried about this and losing their farms voted for him and this shitstick of a state government and my sympathy level is at the point of a Nelson laugh.

We in Missouri are having our third AG in a row not finish his term because he’s climbing the ladder, when Jogs Hawley promised he wouldn’t use the position to chase a job… And then voted Eric Schmitt to AG to… do the same shit. Now since our current one can’t be a senator after suing everyone for wokeism, he’s gonna go co-run the FBI.
Also Missouri has a nice part where petitions can get to bills that the public votes on to pass as laws. We’ve passed things like stopping puppy mills, keeping abortion legal, expanding medicaid, guaranteed sick time, and stopping of gerrymandering. Every one of these the Republicans have overturned despite the state voting overwhelmingly for these things.
Why?
Because the fucking mouthbreathing hicks in the country can’t get past the idea of voting for anyone with an R next to their name no matter if the candidate informed them not only would they ignore what they want for anything else, they’d shit in their mouth.
Missouri is about to have one of its metros cracked because heaven forbid this backwards assed state DARE to have a blue district.
Trouble is as long as this is together, the red states will continue to play just like the Confederates pre-Civil War.
Notice Confederate states were/are all about “StAtEs RiGhTs”, and they broke off because evil Lincoln was gonna come use the federal government to take control… when before they were passing the fugitive slave acts where they could strongarm abolitionist states through the federal government to be forced to allow their people to hunt down runaway slaves (and go ahead and “accidentally” capture a few non-slave blacks).

Honestly way I’ve been listening to NPR it seems like they had gotten sick of things last Trump administration. I was shocked when you had a senator trying to fight the Green New Deal because “gonna stop cows” and the reporter kept pressing him for where that was until she read it outright to him. Of course the little gremlin couldn’t be bothered to answer after that but expecting anything out of the right is impossible.
