  • You ask that question, in a lot of rural areas the small walmart in town is run down and doesn’t get as much stock. It reduces slowly over time until shopping at that walmart is a waste of time and people go to the next one. So Walmart closes down the “Underperforming” walmart forcing people to go to the bigger one few towns over, centralizing and cutting the amount of staff/delivery locations walmart has to deal with, making them more money.

  • It’s a broad statement, but when I saw that about obviously not living in the south. I got out, but guys… it’s bleak down there…

We want change, we have got to get the neo-confederacy out. The biggest church is still the Catholics which they’ve swayed to the Republicans side with single issue of abortion, but the US is mostly protestant and the biggest protestant church is the southern baptist church. The church that literally was formed during the Civil War so they could continue to say slavery wasn’t a sin. And it is the kudzu of religion down there.

Seriously… if you live in an area where a nuanced view is possible, good for you. And I can understand trying to lower the temperature… but if you have people that are in the left side of Christianity… there needs to be some serious outreach work to try to bring some sanity to the evangelicals to the country.

  • Honestly way I’ve been listening to NPR it seems like they had gotten sick of things last Trump administration. I was shocked when you had a senator trying to fight the Green New Deal because “gonna stop cows” and the reporter kept pressing him for where that was until she read it outright to him. Of course the little gremlin couldn’t be bothered to answer after that but expecting anything out of the right is impossible.
