1 year agoAgreed. I am very confused by most of these types of comments. “Why isn’t this newer thing with a smaller user base as robust and efficient as a 20yr old platform?” Things take time. Not to mention it SHOULD also take time, since these instances would not be able to hold the amount of users Reddit has. I’m sure many people complained about Reddit when they jumped from Digg.
While yes, you can block them like people have said (which I do) a new place pops up everyday. It’s like whack a mole. I would love to have some kind of filter that automatically blocks any magazine/community with the word “meme” in it. I would like to not always stay on subscribed so I can see more content and not create and echo chamber for myself.
