Ah. The forgotten lands, according to some maps.
Zelda BotW and TotK are not fun. The stamina system is pointless and the weapon durability is frustrating. On top of that, the world’s are just sooo empty. There’s really nothing in them. Oh look, an interesting ruin… it’s another repetitive shrine. Oh, that geological formation is really unique aaannnddd it’s another fucking korok seed. That’s all you ever got for exploring. Shrines and korok seeds.
I did like slapping random shit onto my weapons in tears of the kingdom though. All in all to me the games are fine but not really Zelda games.
What a wonderful website. All it needs is flames.gif and a link to a page that has little barricades on it that says “Under construction”
I blame my love of high fantasy on the Xanth series. First it was Xanth, then it was Redwall, now it’s my preferred form of escapism.
Not really. If they schedule oil changes every 6 months the mileage check is to see if they should also schedule like a transmission check so you don’t have to keep coming back
It’s a name he adopted while living in Paris, according to Greg Sestero.
The time warp only works if you take a jump to the left.
Away from the edutainment and tech based stuff, I like Decino. Just a guy that really likes playing old school Doom. He doesn’t do the whole exaggerated reactions or yelling or anything like that and I don’t think I’ve ever heard him plug any kind of sponsor or product. It’s great to put on in the background or just watch casually if you’re into it
Many people believe that creating the universe was also a bad move.
Worst they can do is deny me entry to the country
Well the worst they can do is
Put me on a no-fly list, terrorist watchlist or even arrest me
Not having jurisdiction has famously never stopped China. Just ask Tibet. Or any country that wants to sail international waters in the south China sea. Or Hong Kong. Or Taiwan.
Lastly, You are correct about China not sharing data with FVEY countries but don’t think for a second that they are not sharing that info with Russia, Iran, or any other countries that actively seek to harm.
If a country is going to in some way use my data against me, I’d at least like to know the language and what my rights in that country are.
You jest but honestly if I’m going to be spied on and my data harvested either way I’d prefer if it was my home country. At least Theoretically something could be done about it like petition my elected officials or sue. Can’t really do that with a foreign country.
If your question in this scenario is can a defederated Lemmy.3’s posts reach Lemmy.1 if they’re posted to a neutral intermediary (Lemmy.2)
You worded it so much better than I did. That’s what I was wondering, thanks for clearing it up for me.
Well I’m still trying to wrap my head around the idea of federation but initially I imagine an instance could just not federate with an instance that doesn’t use captcha/email verification during signup but my confusion is wondering if like there is a transitive trust in the fediverse. Like Lemmy.1 trusts Lemmy.2 and Lemmy.1 does not trust lemmy.3 but Lemmy.2 DOES trust lemmy.3… can bots from Lemmy.3 post on Lemmy.2 which will then be federated to Lemmy.1? Sorry, that seems super confusing as I type it out but it’s the best way I can describe it.
I get that this is about Active Users but should we/the fediverse be concerned about the sheer number of bot accounts being created on brand new, questionable instances?
Does it matter? Endlessly pontificating about the true nature of reality serves no purpose. If I’m driving and I’m about to hit a tree, reality doesn’t give a single fuck if I consider “well maybe the tree isn’t really there. How can I truly know?”
Like, I was talking with a guy and he was saying shit about how can we truly know that what I say is the color green is the same as what you see? It just feels mastubatory. It’s what words are for. If that guy asks me to go to the store and buy forest green paint from a certain brand and I come back with forest green paint from that brand he’s not going to worry about whether or not we see the exact same shade.
