I’ve never heard of that rule. There are a few combos that are basically always that way though: pt, gn, and kn come to mind.

I don’t see that backfiring for someone who isn’t in the know.

My PM doesn’t tell me to do anything. Their job is to prioritize things on the backlog and give status updates. Very, very rarely do they tell me that whatever I’m working on no longer needs to be done at all.

Generally speaking, if I do get an interruption, it’s from the person above the Project Manager. And they’re more of the “shit hit the fan” variety of problems that need to be resolved.

That’s interesting. I don’t really understand it too well from the compute side of things though. Sounds like that’s at the whim of whoever has their heat running. And what happens if they want to turn the heat off before the job is done?

Our organization has perfected file naming. When something doesn’t belong in a specific area, it goes into the file named Misc. When that got too big, Misc2 was created.
