Thanks for pointing that out.
I guess this is probably the solution to my riddle. Thanks.

Not that I know of, but I can’t recall exactly anymore how I set up ZFS a year an a half back. I’ll investigate!
I use the ZFS mechanism exclusively today, so I’ll have a look at the vdev_id.conf
file as soon as I find the time, thank you!
Also, sorry for not responding earlier, I’ve had some busy days.
Lektor maybe?
I really like Nextcloud, but I really think it’s not (or not only) your network. ;)
Good enough general suggestion. The Nextcloud app for phones is still awful though, it fails to show contents of large folders/won’t update their contents to this day (this issue is years old), which is particular relevant for photo and video backups. Also, video playback in the browser is limited as there is no automatic transcoding and not all browsers like all video codecs.
Edit: Just to clarify, I’m running Nextcloud myself and it’s not always too friendly to the “look, you don’t have to use Google for everything!”-attitude I like to show towards friends and family.
I wouldn’t say this is security through obscurity, as you don’t hide how asystem works, but what it is in general. On the forefront, IT security is a game about information retrieval, and you’re making it easier than necessary for attackers if you give away details about what services you run for free. ;)
Well, that or go to court for a movie collection. I’d phrase my statement differently, but I can see the appeal of the settlement.
