minus-square📛Maven@lemmy.sdf.orglinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 year agoYo, is C# named that because a # is made of four plusses?
minus-squaredroans@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·1 year agoYep, it’s supposed to mean C++++. The sharp symbol also resembles a ligature of four “+” symbols (in a two-by-two grid), further implying that the language is an increment of C++. That’s specific enough that I have to assume you already knew that, though.
