Sort of if a conservative tells you that you offend them when you’re considerate to minorities and you tell them that you’ll be even more considerate just for that. You’re not literally being considerate to spite conservatives but your response more means that you won’t stop doing what you’re doing because of them.
I don’t think jokes about triggering PTSD on purpose are funny. I think those are the kinds of jokes reactionaries make when they find the existence of disabled people offensive.
It’s called lateral violence, and it’s unfortunately very common. They don’t believe I have PTSD because they don’t want to believe I have PTSD. If I were genuinely triggered by something they did on purpose, they’d be a total asshole. They don’t want to think of themself as a total asshole, so they invented a justification to accuse me of faking trauma. It’s such a common thing for abusive people to do that it’s what the meme at the top of this thread is about.

Didn’t they themselves state that they have PTSD? How would they be a reactionary to the existence of people with PTSD?
