    It’s less “girls vs girls” and more “morbid curiosity” if I’m reading it correctly. It’s not something to be proud of, to clarify.

    The meme also doesn’t mention the gender of the subject or their (ex)partner(s). Could, hypothetically, be anybody.

      I’m going to adopt that mindset. I’m just used to that ‘deep dive’ behaviour being attributed to woman along the lines of ‘clingy girlfriend’.

      I’m not saying men don’t engage in this behaviour, but (again in the older internet I grew up in) it was mainly attributed to women. Especially because Facebook was the first thing that came to mind for me.

      Facebook was at its height when I was just barely an adult and I know a few women who would talk along those lines.

      Thats just where I was coming from. It’s no excuse, and I’m really glad you provided this prospective
