Billy Joe Cagle, 49, is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal attempt to commit aggravated assault, and making terroristic threats. Authorities discovered a semi-automatic weapon and 27 rounds of ammunition in his truck after his arrest.
Cagle’s family had contacted the Cartersville police earlier that morning, who then informed Atlanta police about the potential threat at the airport.
That would have been a high body count. Hitting the security check point, during a government shutdown.

Here’s a better article, from the same source, with actual details. I’m not sure why they bothered posting this other version that doesn’t say what sort of threats or actions the man allegedly did, when they already posted a version of the story yesterday with those details.
I guess my article was to show how cops sprung into action and stopped him. Like normal though, it is usually family members or friends that stop it.
