Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) made clear on Saturday afternoon that she has no intention of taking her own life after making the case for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
The controversial conservative lawmaker appeared to be making the case that a “foreign government or powerful people” would attempt to silence her permanently to halt her efforts and, should she be found dead like the convicted pedophile in his jail cell, there needs to be an investigation.
I’m not especially religious, and my thoughts would suggest not at all religious, but can we pray that some evil unknown (but also widely known to conspiracy theorists) group of wealthy secret organisation /individuals / family make this shitshow of a human disappeared?
She doesn’t deserve to be silenced, but she does deserve to be completely ignored.
If she is finally, after all these years, trying to make a stand against an ‘evil unknown’ then why would you pray for her demise?
If she is slain and we celebrate, then nobody else will want to turn on the evil unknown?

First of all, lemmy is absolutely not a courteous place. It is far more biting than Reddit.
Something I ascribe to people Reddit kicked off for being dicks congregating on here, leaving it with a higher percentage of dicks. Now reddit also kicks people off for other reasons like opposing Israel or other powerful commercial interests that they also pretend like they are kicking off for being dicks so it’s complicated.
Second, MTG should not be condemned when doing the right things. Anyone ascribing bad motives to good acts can get fucked as their motives are worse.
